Can I change the default?

In many of the menu option lists all you need to do is to unselect or select the item you want to change, and it won’t change back until you change it.  But there is one place where everything resets after you’ve change it.  That’s the page set up.  Open this option (FILE/PAGE SETUP…) and make the changes that you want in all tabs.  When you’re satisfied, select, Default…. On the first page, you will be prompted to confirm that you want the new settings to be the new default.

Remember too that you can put the PAGE SET UP on your icon tool bar, and you can change, color, or design your own icon, with or without text.

One more quick note for those who are new to computing.  When you see an icon or item on a menu list that is followed by three periods  “…” this indicated that there will be a secondary menu list, or selection, or in many cases, more information that is needed.  For example:  Save as… will give you a screen and the option of naming the current document (or rename it), the option to select the type of document, and the file or location in which to save the item.
