Alex Cross is enjoying his retirement from police business.  His practice is flourishing, and he is building a new relationship with Detective Briana Stone (Bree).  Just as life is looking good, the phone rings.  Dr. Cross is drawn into a series of very public and terrifying murders.  But someone didn't think he had enough to worry about, so his arch enemy Kyle Craig breaks out of a high security prison... in a very bazaar way. 

Alex and Bree chase the DCAK (D. C. Audience Killer), while Kyle Craig chases those on his list, Alex and Bree are among the names.

Every Alex Cross book I read is better than the last--yet I can go back and read older books and they are the best.   I don't know how Mr. Patterson does it, but I'm so glad he does.  Must read for every mystery/adventure/suspense fan out there.
