Prophecy
By Paul Mark Tag
PUB: iUniverse Publisher
ISBN: 978-0595434442
Dr. Victor Silverstein, meteorologist, and his colleague and friend, Linda Kipling become involved in a mystery when Dr. James Weaverman goes missing. The last time Silverstein heard from Weaverman it was a phone message that puzzled his friend and drew him into his disappearance. The search for answers is met with rebuffs and thugs at every turn.
The rebuffs come from the private research lab that employed Dr. Weaverman, and is funded by a group of men and women who keep their identity and reasons for backing the DNA project hidden. Everything depends in verifying Weaverman's suspicions. Is there a particular gene group that enables an individual to predict the future? Have they found it? Can they prove it? What are the repercussions?
I found the plot of this book to be wanting, but the strong characters, surprises, action, and rescue of Dr. Weaverman kept me reading and made up for that one weakness: worth the time and money.
