This was one of the scariest, tensest, and satisifing months I've had to endure in many a year.

My husband went into the hospital with an increasingly weak heart.  That bad valve had finally started to close.  After over a week (April 23, to May 4) of study, decisions and successful attempts to make his heart stronger, he was operated on.  May 5 was  a big day for us.  He came through the surgery better than the doctors expected, and has started the long process of getting back to normal.

I was able to attend one day of the Pennwriters annual conference and the book signing.  What a THRILL to sign so many copies of my book for so many friends and relatives, and some folks that I didn't know. 

I'm trying to get more books for a signing to be held at the Highspire Fire Company's  fund raising fair.  It will be held on May 31.  And there will be others.

Book sales are going well for Lost In The Mist, both mine and online.  But that's not the best news. 

On the 4th, Wednesday, I received a contract for my second book from Wings ePress.  The Walk Home is scheduled for release in November, 2008.

I've been working with the publisher's artist (the same on who did Mist) and should be able to post that soon.  Just wait till you see this one!  I'll also have a page set up for this book as soon as I can get everything together.

I have several book signings set up for the next couple of months.  I want to thank all those who've read Mist, many of whom have gotten back to me with comments.  I appreciate them all, even the ones that aren't so good.  They help me learn.

I've been working with the Wings ePress artist, Richard Stroud on the cover for my new book. 

WOW! is it nice.  I've put a page up so you can read a short excerpt, and get the full impact of the cover.  Now to wait till November.
